The thing about fall..
One nice thing I have always taken security in is the stars. Not the stars as in movie stars or even "the stars tell you the future". Maybe I should be more specific. Orion's Belt.
As a kid once I moved from GA to WA I was put into my grandmothers home in burbank. (Again with the washington) the house on humorist has been one of my favorites homes for many reasons, I will not get into right now. This particular reason is as a scared kid new to the town and house sleeping alone in a room dark as a kid can be scary. Some people took comfort in a teddy, blakie, or even an imaginary friend. Me I had the stars!
Lucky for me on my scared night I don't remember a cloudy night to hide all of my protectors. I didn't know at the time as a kid the stars made picture or had stories. All I knew is right there smack dab in the sky was a smile face watching over me. From my bed in the night of fall I could look out my window and see a smile every night. This was something I can take comfort in! My stars watching out for! Maybe it was also my departed grandmother edith?
At times I forget its there. But on clear nights like tonight shining bright my smile! Shoulders (eyes) belt (smile) to this day that memory will stay with me and always bring a smile to my face as it had so many time!
